Natale Ficerai, 84 years old, in 1949 departed from Ascoli Piceno to move to Niederkorn in Luxembourg.

The motivation that led him to leave was job searching and taking advantage of his uncles who had already emigrated, he settled in Niederkorn where without too much trouble can open a building company.

Now retired he told us that he misses his country, in all its most characteristic aspects but especially miss the warmth of its people and the extraordinary beauty of his city.

He remembers sadly defects present in the Piceno, which forced him to leave after the war, but he regrets to feel himself too old now for come back. However, he can never forget his origins and Natale brings Ascoli in the heart.
