The Dark Middle Ages Museum is inaugurated on the of March 2014 in Ascoli Piceno,in the charming location of Forte Malatesta. There are six fantastic rooms  the third level of the Church of Madonna del Lago included, dedicated to the discoveries of Castel Trosino (really few things instead of the abundance of discoveries digged up during the excavations of 1983 of 239 graves and a lot of other findingsbrought to Rome). A contract stipulated at the moment of the discover, says that “ The discoveries will become propriety of the State that will donate a good representation of duplicates to the Civic Museum of Ascoli Piceno”. Till now only two graves of extraordinary richness came back from Rome, but very soon, we hope,  other pieces will adorn the exposition. The Gothic discoveries digged up in 1956 atCagnano of Acquasanta (AP) are extreme interesting.

The exposition uses modern multimedia instruments that supply visitors a lot of clear information.  There is also a for educational activities equipped hall.
